After more than a decade behind the camera, our wedding photography experience has taken us to incredible places and introduced us to hundreds of couples and families.
Over the past 10+ years, we’ve photographed more than 400 weddings.
Each one was different. Different locations, different cultures, different celebrations, and different people coming together for one very important moment.
And while every wedding tells its own story, there are certain things we’ve learned again and again through our wedding photography experience.
Some of them are simple.
Some of them are emotional.
But all of them remind us why weddings matter so much.
The Day Moves Faster Than Anyone Expects
One thing our wedding photography experience has taught us is that couples often underestimate how quickly the day will pass.
Months — sometimes years — go into planning a wedding. But once the celebration begins, time seems to move differently.
The ceremony arrives almost before anyone realizes it.
Dinner turns into speeches, speeches turn into dancing, and suddenly the night is over.
That’s why we always encourage couples to pause for a moment during the day.
Take a breath together. Look around the room. Notice the people who are there to celebrate with you.
Those quiet seconds often become some of the most meaningful memories of the entire day.
The People Matter More Than the Details
After photographing more than 400 weddings, one thing has become very clear to us.
What people remember most isn’t the flowers, the decorations, or even the venue.
It’s the people.
We saw this beautifully during Leana & Joseph’s wedding on the Athenian Riviera, where guests had traveled from across the world to celebrate.
The hugs from friends who traveled across the world.
The laughter during dinner.
The speeches that make everyone emotional.
These are the moments couples talk about years later.
And they are the moments we always try to photograph with the most care.
You can see many of those moments in the weddings featured in our portfolio, where the focus is always on real connections between people.
The Best Moments Are Always Unplanned
Some couples arrive at their wedding day with a very clear vision of how everything should look.
But the moments they treasure most later are rarely the ones they planned.
A sudden burst of laughter during the ceremony.
Friends jumping onto the dance floor together.
A quiet moment between the couple when everything slows down for just a second.
Our wedding photography experience has taught us that weddings are full of these small surprises.
And those surprises often become the most meaningful photographs.
Every Wedding Has Its Own Energy
Something we’ve learned over the years is that every celebration has a unique rhythm.
Some weddings feel deeply emotional and intimate.
Others feel like the most incredible party imaginable, where the dance floor never empties.
Neither is better than the other.
Our job is simply to understand the atmosphere of the celebration and photograph it honestly.
Because when the photographs reflect the true energy of the day, they feel far more meaningful.
Multi-Day Celebrations Are Something Special
One of the most beautiful trends we’ve seen over the years is the rise of the multi-day wedding weekend.
These celebrations unfold slowly, often including welcome dinners, beach gatherings, boat trips, and relaxed brunches.
They give couples and guests the opportunity to spend real time together instead of rushing through the celebration in a single day.
You can read more about why we love these celebrations so much on our post about multi-day wedding weekends, where we share how these events create some of the most meaningful moments we photograph.
Couples Should Experience Their Own Wedding
If there is one piece of advice our wedding photography experience has taught us to share with couples, it’s this:
Don’t spend the entire day worrying about the schedule or the camera.
Your wedding is not a performance.
It’s a celebration.
The more present couples allow themselves to be during the day, the more meaningful the experience becomes.
And the photographs will naturally reflect that joy.
Why We Still Love Photographing Weddings
After more than 400 weddings, people sometimes ask if the work ever feels repetitive.
The answer is always the same.
Not even a little.
Because no two weddings are ever the same.
Every couple brings their own story, their own personalities, and their own community of people who love them.
Every celebration is filled with new moments, new emotions, and new memories waiting to unfold.
And being trusted to capture those moments is something we never take for granted.

Looking Ahead to the Next 400
After 10+ years and hundreds of weddings, we still feel incredibly grateful every time a couple invites us into one of the most important days of their lives.
Because weddings are not just events.
They are stories.
Stories of families, friendships, and the beginning of new chapters.
And our role — through our wedding photography experience — is simply to help preserve those moments so they can be remembered for generations.
If you’re planning your own celebration and feel connected to the way we approach weddings, we would love to hear your story.
