A High-Fashion, Greco-Disco Wedding on the Athenian Riviera

LIA & JOHN

Lia Georgantis, CEO of Girls With Gems, Marries in a High-Fashion, Greco-Disco Wedding on the Athenian Riviera

When the CEO of Girls With Gems gets married, you already know the fashion will be iconic, the decor will be bold, and the party will last until sunrise. Lia and John’s wedding was exactly that — a full-scale, editorial-level celebration that brought together people from all over the world for one wildly vibrant weekend on the Athenian Riviera.

The day began with a relaxed, champagne-fuelled morning filled with laughter, high energy, and serious glam. Lia got ready with her mum, aunt, grandmother, and her closest friends — all in the best mood, totally unbothered, and completely in sync. Set against the villa’s whitewashed walls, cactus-lined gardens, and private infinity pool, the morning felt like a fashion-forward escape to the Cyclades — but make it bridal. They sipped Veuve on the villa steps, barefoot and glowing under the Riviera sun, while wearing the softest gold-toned robes. Between custom gloves that said “Mrs Halias” and “I love you baby,” sapphire-studded jewellery (her mum’s birthstone, and her something blue), and two pairs of Manolos lined up and waiting, the morning prep was a full vibe. Oh — and let’s not forget the custom pinky ring she designed with her mum and gifted her on the morning of the wedding. Pure love. It wasn’t just beautiful — it was personal, and it set the tone for everything to follow.

Lia’s white satin bridal set was total off-duty model energy — wide-leg trousers, a cropped tank, and a structured vest paired with Chanel sandals and her signature glow. Between sips of rosé and mouthfuls of gyros, Lia and her girls laughed by the pool, danced around barefoot, and soaked in the sea views with zero stress and 100% style.
They kicked things off with a church ceremony that was anything but traditional. Think rich jewel tones, dramatic arches, and the kind of stained glass that makes you forget to blink. It looked like something from a Renaissance painting — but with Lia floating down the aisle in a corset gown that belonged on the cover of Vogue. Her bridesmaids? Equally stunning, each one dressed in radiant, custom-picked looks from Girls With Gems — a total fashion moment in motion.

From there, the celebration moved to The Reef, where Lia’s vision of a “Greco-Disco dream” came to life. Guests were welcomed by mirrored disco balls, bursts of bougainvillea, candlelit tables, and custom illustrations woven throughout every detail — from the menus to the fans to the olive oil favours. Bold, punchy florals spilled out of oversized Grecian heads. A mirrored selfie station sparkled on the sand. Giant branded fans fluttered everywhere, Aperol Spritzes clinked beneath the string lights, and the whole scene was unapologetically extra in the best way possible. It was Greco-Disco meets modern editorial, and yes, it was as fabulous as it sounds.
Dinner was share-style Greek — the kind of food meant to bring people together — with roaming canapés, cocktail hour by the sea, and later... gyros at 3:30 a.m. because obviously. A private concert by Greek pop star Josephine kicked off the night, followed by a cake-cutting moment worthy of its own fashion editorial.

Lia changed into two more custom-designed looks by Velani — one for dancing, one for sparkle — and made each entrance feel like a runway reveal. Her second look (because of course she had one) was sleek, sparkly, and ready for the after-party. Her third dress turned heads the moment she entered — a custom mini, perfectly made for twirling under disco lights. But honestly? The true showstopper was the energy. Champagne towers, a private concert, Greek dancing, spontaneous speeches, barefoot twirls, and one of the most joy-filled dance floors we’ve ever witnessed.

Guests came from all over the world, dressed to the nines and ready to celebrate. And celebrate they did — dancing until 5 a.m., posing under disco balls, and soaking in every over-the-top, joy-filled detail.

This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a full-sensory, full-glam, full-heart experience. A party with style. A ceremony with soul. A day that felt exactly like Lia and John: bold, stylish, wildly in love — and unforgettable.

From champagne-fuelled mornings to a disco-ball-lit dance floor, Lia & John’s wedding was pure editorial magic.
