Elegant, Joyful, and Just a Bit Wild Wedding on Syros

Maria & Athos’s wedding on the island of Syros was one of those weddings — effortless, emotional, wildly beautiful, and filled with energy from the very first moment.

The day began at Hotel Ploes, where Maria slipped into her dreamy corset gown — elegant, structured, and total main character energy. But before we even got to the ceremony, the celebration kicked off with live music and dancing on the hotel terrace, complete with traditional Cypriot touches. Think spontaneous line dances, proud parents, and big emotional energy — all before midday. Goals.

After the ceremony at one of Ermoupoli’s iconic churches (yes, it was as gorgeous as it sounds), guests headed down to the sea for the reception at Ciel — a breezy, open-air venue perched right by the water.

The decor? Think effortless island chic: white tables lined with terracotta vases, loose white blooms, cobalt blue napkins fluttering in the breeze, and that golden Cycladic light casting a glow on everything.

As the sun set, Maria switched into a sparkly halter dress that screamed “let’s dance,” and oh — they did. The party exploded in the best way: hands in the air, cocktails clinking, friends screaming the lyrics to Greek classics, and a bouquet toss that turned into a mini Olympic event.

It was a wedding that felt like summer in full bloom — stylish, warm, and wildly alive.
